The bar is a traditional and welcoming place. As well as the standard fare, the bar serves a range of well-kept real ales The bar serving area is situated in the centre of the ground floor and, in the past, would have had a public bar on one side and a lounge on the other. That has been turned into one large room although there are partitions to provide 3 separate seating areas. Much of the furniture and many of the fittings are pre-war thus retaining the look and atmosphere of a traditional pub. At the rear, there is a covered patio area with seating. There is a jukebox and HD TVs showing all of the sports channels available on satellite TV. We have a pool table, darts board and dominoes. Teams from the pub compete in the local pool league. From time to time, we have live music either in the bar or, on the patio. The refurbishment has turned the bar into a light, airy, leisure space. Come and have a drink and in a warm, friendly local pub with an eclectic mix of customers. All, or part of the bar is available for private functions.
